- Florence: 2-Day...
Popis
Cycle from Florence to Siena on a 2-day e-bike adventure through the hills of Chianti Classico. Ride scenic country roads with a local guide, luggage transfer, and authentic Tuscan food and wine.
DAY 1 - From Florence to Panzano in Chianti
Our friendly team will welcome you at our meeting point in Florence, where you can leave your luggage - we’ll handle the transfer for you!
The first part of the ride lasts about two hours. Leaving Florence behind, we’ll quickly reach historic roads, pass elegant villas, and take in breathtaking views of the city and the stunning Certosa of Firenze monastery.
Next, we’ll ride towards the San Casciano area, a charming town in the heart of Chianti. A little further on, we’ll arrive at a family-owned wine estate, where you’ll tour the property and enjoy a delicious, traditional Tuscan lunch and varieties of Chianti wine and locally produced olive oil.
After lunch, we’ll hop back on the bikes and make our way towards the medieval villages of Mercatale and Greve in Chianti.
The final ride is the most challenging, as we climb towards the hilltop town of Panzano in Chianti. Here, you’ll get the chance to meet the legendary butcher, Dario Cecchini - you may recognise him from Netflix’s Chef’s Table, but now you’ll see him in action!
By around 4:30 PM, we’ll arrive at a stunning Villa, where you can relax at the pool and enjoy the views.

DAY 2 - From Panzano in Chianti to Siena
After breakfast at the Villa, we kick off the day with a long downhill ride, covering several kilometres before reaching the charming town of Radda in Chianti.
After a stroll through this famous village, we’ll enjoy another descent, leading us to the town of Gaiole in Chianti, home of the world-renowned vintage bike race, L’Eroica. There, we'll enjoy a traditional Tuscan lunch with wine included.
Once we’ve enjoyed our meal, we’ll hop back on the E-bikes for a scenic ride road, including passing by Castello di Brolio, before we make our final approach to Siena.
The tour typically concludes at Siena’s train station, but if you’re staying in town (which we highly recommend!), we can drop of you near the church of San Domenico (just next to the entrance to the historical centre). Since Siena has a restricted traffic zone, we won’t be able to enter with our van.
