Paper marbling is a traditional artisan practice from Renaissance Florence and this hands-on workshop will teach you the materials, history, and process with a live demo of this unique art dating back centuries. Taught by local artist, Jen Leo Studio, in the heart of Florence. We will begin with a brief introduction- sharing the cultural roots of marbling and the secrets this ancient craft including paper treatment, mixing colours, pattern techniques & tools, followed by a demonstration. Then you will be free to explore and practice, making your own papers to take home. * The length of the workshop is about 1.5- 2 hours *Suitable for all ages, the workshop is family/child friendly! Private groups available, simply choose days/time on request and message for special availability & pricing.
