Description
This Accademia Gallery guided tour is built around one statue, and it gets you to it without the wait. A pre-reserved, timed entry means you do not stand in the ticket line, and a live guide meets you at the meeting point named in your booking confirmation. A headset lets you hear the guide throughout.
Over about an hour the guide tells the history of the gallery and the techniques and stories behind its works. The highlight is Michelangelo's David, the original statue, which you see up close with someone who explains how it was made and why it matters. Other sculptures, paintings and religious art from several periods fill the rooms, many of them Renaissance.

When the guided part is over you are free to stay inside and keep exploring on your own until the museum closes. Start times are strict and latecomers cannot be admitted, so allow plenty of time.
