Description
This Cinque Terre day trip from Florence begins when you meet your guide in the centre of the city. Two hours on the bus to La Spezia come with an introduction to the coast. From there the day moves by train from village to village.
In Manarola you take a guided walk among the vines before free time on your own. Corniglia comes next: climb the steps up to the village, then pick a guided hike to Vernazza, or an easier train ride with your guide. In Vernazza you can sit in a cafe or swim in the sea.
- Monterosso, known for its beaches and artisan shops
- A boat along the coast, if the weather allows
- Riomaggiore, the southernmost village, to end the visit
The Pisa option swaps the walk for three villages (Vernazza, Monterosso and Riomaggiore) with a boat ride and no hike, and adds a stop in Pisa. A train, not the boat, covers that stretch between November and March, or in bad weather.
Park entry and train tickets are part of the standard options, but not food, drinks, tips or hotel pickup. The itinerary can change if paths close. It is not suitable for children under 8 or for people with reduced mobility.
