Description
This Florence bike tour covers the centre in three hours without wearing out your feet. An expert guide leads the way, tells the stories behind the landmarks and shows you how to move through the city's traffic with confidence.
The route takes in the Cathedral's marble façade and dome, then Piazza della Repubblica, at the centre of the old town. In Piazza della Signoria you get close to the statues and to the tower of Palazzo Vecchio, where the guide tells the story of the lion that is said to forecast the weather. You also pass Santa Croce and the lively quarter of Santo Spirito, where everyday Florentine life goes on around you.
Along the way the guide adds facts and stories about each sight, and at the end gives tips on where to eat and what to visit next, so you leave with a clear idea of how the city is laid out.
