Description

Pitti Palace tickets with audioguide: a reserved entrance to the Medici residence, with two galleries to explore at your own pace and an audio app as your guide.

Pitti Palace tickets with audioguide get you inside one of Florence's biggest museums, the home the Medici family once lived in. Your reserved entrance covers the Palatine Gallery as well as the modern art museum upstairs, and an audio guide app tells you what you are looking at, room by room, with no group to follow. The instructions arrive with your booking confirmation.

Filippo Brunelleschi designed the palace in 1457 for the Pitti family. Its rooms now hold collections spread over several floors:

  • The Palatine Gallery, upstairs, hung with paintings from the 1500s and 1600s: Raphael, Caravaggio, Titian, Rubens and Pietro da Cortona
  • The Royal Apartments, furnished after a remodelling in the 19th century
  • The Gallery of Modern Art on the floor above, mostly Italian paintings and sculpture made between the end of the 1700s and the First World War
  • Beyond them, the Costume Gallery, the grand dukes' Treasury and the temporary exhibitions

Keep an eye on the windows too: from some of them you can see the Basilica of Santo Spirito, designed by Brunelleschi, and the Boboli Gardens. The tour has no live guide, so you decide how long to linger in front of each canvas.
