- Florence: Uffizi...
Description
Discover the masterpieces of the Uffizi Gallery on a guided tour. Enjoy priority entrance and explore the Vasari Corridor, a one-way passage connecting the Uffizi to the Boboli Gardens.
Meet your guide in front of the Uffizi Gallery and begin with a brief introduction to the Medici family, the history of the Uffizi building, and how it became one of the most important art museums in the world. Skip the ticket line, pass through security, and head upstairs to the main galleries.
Follow a focused 1.5-hour guided route through the Uffizi Gallery, designed to cover the essential masterpieces while keeping the pace comfortable for a small group. See the three famous “Madonnas” by Duccio, Cimabue, and Giotto, which show how painting evolved from flat gold backgrounds toward space, depth, and human emotion.
Admire Botticelli’s “The Birth of Venus” and “Primavera” and learn about Medici culture, mythology, and why these paintings became icons of Florence and the Renaissance. Continue with Leonardo da Vinci’s “Annunciation”, “Adoration of the Magi”, and Verrocchio’s “Baptism of Christ”, highlighting Leonardo’s early experiments with light, movement, and perspective.
See Michelangelo’s “Doni Tondo”, the only panel painting by Michelangelo in Florence, and admire key works by Raphael, including “Madonna of the Goldfinch”, while learning about the rise of High Renaissance harmony. The tour also includes Titian’s “Venus of Urbino”, with an explanation of beauty, private versus public art, and how this painting later inspired Manet.
During the guided visit, your guide will also point out the famous corridor of windows overlooking the Arno River and Ponte Vecchio, explaining how this area connects to the Vasari Corridor above.
At the end of the 1.5-hour guided tour inside the Uffizi Gallery, your guide will accompany the group near the Vasari Corridor entrance point inside the museum. Guests who selected the Uffizi + Vasari Corridor option will then continue independently for the Vasari Corridor visit.
Please note: the Vasari Corridor visit is unguided for all options, including private tours. According to the current visitor rules, guides are not allowed to provide a guided explanation inside the Vasari Corridor.
If the Vasari Corridor option has been selected, you will walk independently through the newly reopened elevated passage that connects the Uffizi Gallery to the Boboli Gardens / Pitti Palace area. This is a one-way route and the visit ends near the Boboli Gardens / Pitti Palace exit courtyard, as per the current museum rules.
Important: Vasari Corridor Access
Access to the Vasari Corridor is included only if the Uffizi + Vasari Corridor option has been selected at the time of booking. The guided part of this experience takes place inside the Uffizi Gallery only. The Vasari Corridor visit is always unguided.
