With a Uffizi Gallery timed entry ticket you choose a slot, step into one of the great art museums of Italy and the world, and are free to remain inside for as long as you wish. There is no group to keep up with and no live guide: a digital audioguide app keeps you company instead.
The rooms are a walk through Italian Renaissance painting. Look for Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Giotto, Cimabue and Masaccio, then head for the most renowned room, devoted to Botticelli. There hang Primavera and The Birth of Venus, the goddess rising from the sea foam, a painting that is a classic of Renaissance Neoplatonism.
Once booked, your day and slot are binding, so choose them with your Florence plans in mind. If you want more art, there is an option that adds Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens entrance. After the Uffizi you then have 5 days to visit the palace and the gardens, in whichever order you prefer.
