Description

A Vespa tour from Florence to the Chianti hills: a short riding lesson, scenic roads past vineyards, and with the guided option a winery visit and Tuscan lunch.

A Vespa tour from Florence to Chianti puts you on a scooter in the city center, with a guide, a short briefing and a bit of practice before you set off. Once you feel at ease, you leave the traffic behind and follow country roads past vineyards, olive groves and old villages, with photo stops along the way.

Two versions exist. The shared guided tour adds a local winery, where you explore the cellars, learn how the wine is made and sit down to a typical Tuscan lunch with a guided tasting of the local Chianti wine and olive oil. Local products are on sale if you want to take some home. The self-guided version includes the Vespa, the briefing and the riding practice but not the winery, the lunch or the guide.

  • Vespa rental
  • Briefing and riding practice before departure
  • Winery, lunch and tastings with the guided option

The day lasts about six hours. Because the start is in city traffic, you must already know how to ride a scooter, and a practical test comes before departure. Drivers need to be 18 and show a physical motorcycle license; passengers can be from 13. A security deposit is taken and given back if the Vespa returns undamaged.
