Description

A Tuscan wine tasting in Florence: seven wines, from Vernaccia to Brunello di Montalcino, each matched with local bites and explained by a certified guide in 90 minutes.

A Tuscan wine tasting in Florence gives you the region's range in a single sitting. In 90 minutes a certified guide leads you through seven wines, each paired with something from a platter of local appetizers, so you learn what the glass tastes like and why it works with the food.

The order builds slowly. You begin with a crisp, mineral Vernaccia and move to the bold Bolgheri Rosso, then to a Chianti Classico, known for cherry and earthy notes, and a Nobile di Montepulciano soft in tannin and full of dark fruit. The Chianti Classico Riserva shows what ageing adds, and the Brunello di Montalcino, described as the king of Tuscan wines, brings power and complexity. The last glass is a Miraia, elegant and made to age.

  • seven Tuscan wines
  • a platter of olives, bruschetta, cured salami and prosciutto
  • a certified guide and a pairing class

It works as well for enthusiasts as for newcomers. Alcohol is served only to guests aged 17 and over, and children get a soft drink from the cola, orange or lemon-lime range. Gluten-free or vegetarian menus are available on request, and allergies should be mentioned at booking. It is not recommended for pregnant travellers, and a valid ID is needed.
