It's a taste of Tuscany you won't soon forget.
Escape the Florentine bustle and embark on a captivating cycling adventure! Our journey begins in the charming, tranquil Oltrarno neighborhood, nestled within the city's ancient walls. From this idyllic starting point, we'll glide through elegant residential streets, leaving the city behind and heading towards the breathtaking Tuscan countryside. A gentle climb (just 1.3km) takes us through Porta Romana, rewarding us with our first stunning vista: the majestic Villa Poggio Imperiale, a UNESCO World Heritage site and former Medici family estate. Within 20 minutes, you'll be immersed in the rolling hills, vineyards, and olive groves of Tuscany. After a leisurely 45-minute ride through this picturesque landscape, we'll pause at a charming villa or a historic literary café—both also working farms—depending on availability. Explore the olive orchards before indulging in a delightful wine and olive oil tasting experience. Savor the flavors of Tuscany! Sample locally produced Chianti wine and exquisite extra virgin olive oil, complemented by a light snack of cured meats, artisanal bread, and perhaps some farm-fresh honey. This small, family-run operation guarantees organic, sustainable goodness. Our return journey offers a spectacular finale. We'll cycle past San Miniato al Monte, a vantage point providing breathtaking panoramic views of Florence—a perfect opportunity to stretch your legs and capture unforgettable photos. A final downhill stretch brings us back into Florence, concluding our ride in the picturesque San Niccolò area. This approximately 9-mile (13km) route is considered easy to intermediate, depending on your fitness level. While there are four gentle hills, if you prefer a less strenuous experience, consider upgrading to an e-bike (limited availability). Please let us know in advance if you'd like to reserve one.
